Fawad Afzal Khan (born 29 November 1981) is a Pakistani actor, model and singer who appears in Pakistani films, Hindi films and Pakistani dramas. He is one of the highest paid actors in the film industry and is the recipient of a Filmfare Award, three Lux Style Awards, and six Hum Awards.
Khan begin his music career by joining Entity Paradigm, an alternative rock band based in Lahore, Pakistan. He sang for their debut album Irtiqa (2003), which had six songs. As a musician, he performed in about 250 shows. He left music to pursue his acting career.
Khan made his film debut with a supporting role in Shoaib Mansoor's sociodrama Khuda Kay Liye (2007). He went on to achieve popularity with lead roles in the television shows Dastaan (2010), Humsafar (2011) and Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012). Khan made his Bollywood debut with the leading role of a prince in Shashanka Ghosh's romantic comedy Khoobsurat (2014), for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He received praise for his portrayal of a closet homosexual in Shakun Batra's Hindi family drama Kapoor & Sons (2016), which emerged as a major critical and commercial success. He appeared on Pepsi Battle of the Bands (2017) as a judge which marked his return to music. His upcoming works in 2017 include Maula Jatt 2 and Albela Rahi.
